2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz Overview

What's New For 2022?

The 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz is a brand-new model, marking our favorite brand's first truck. It's not only Hyundai's first take in the popular segment, but it's also smaller than most midsized trucks, and while it has slightly lower capabilities than those pickups, it's still useful for light towing and surprisingly strong hauling. The Santa Cruz rides on an all-new Hyundai platform shared by a few other models, leading to a smooth and comfortable driving experience.

Performance and Technology

A pair of engines available for the new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz mark the first options you'll want to consider. The starting engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, worth 191 horsepower with 181 pound-feet of torque. For more power, a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder delivers 281 horsepower with 311 pound-feet of torque, and is paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. An all-wheel drive system is available with either engine, providing better traction and control during your travels around Manassas and northern Virginia.

Where the Santa Cruz really shows it belongs to the Hyundai family is with its smart technology. You'll start off with an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, which you can upgrade to 10.3 inches in higher trims, while you'll have wireless device charging, wireless smartphone integration and other amenities to add to the mix. You'll also find standard safety features like forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and lane keeping assist, with blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert offered in higher trims.
