The 2022 Kona gets a slightly restyled exterior across all trims, while a couple sporty and performance-oriented trim levels with the N Line and Kona N debut for this model year. For every other edition, additional convenience and safety technology features have been added, making this already well-equipped crossover even better.

Performance and Technology

With the new N Line and Kona N trims in this crossover's lineup, you'll have more engine options. The starting trims continue to use a thrifty 2.0-liter four-cylinder, producing 147 horsepower, while the next level up is a turbocharged 1.6-liter four, which gets more powerful at 195 horsepower. Finally, the Kona N uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that offers 276 horsepower with special driving modes that give you short bursts of extra power. All-wheel drive is offered across the board with the new Kona, helping you maintain traction and control when traveling through rough weather.

There are plenty of standard and optional tech features with the new 2022 Kona, starting with a touchscreen infotainment center - which is upgraded to a larger size in higher trims - and smartphone integration. You also get standard adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation and lane departure mitigation in the base level with other driver aids found in higher levels of the 2022 Hyundai Kona.
